Birth Records - 1877 to current

​

Birth records may be obtained in the office of the County Clerk.  Certified copies may only be obtained by the individual who is listed on the birth certificate if he is 18 years of age or older, by a parent named on the birth certificate, or by a legal representative unless otherwise authorized.  All applicants must provide a valid Driver's license or valid State ID.  The cost for a certified birth certificate is $18.00 for the first copy, and $8.00 for each additional copy.

Death Records - 1878 to current

Death records may be obtained in the office of the County Clerk.  Certified copies may be obtained by any individual who has a personal or legal interest in the record of the deceased.

All applicants must provide a valid Driver's license or valid State ID.  The cost for a certified death certificate is $22.00 for the first copy, and $12.00 for each additional copy.

Marriage Records - 1817 to current

​

Marriage records may be obtained in the office of the County Clerk.  The cost for a certified marriage certificate is $18.00 for the first copy, and $8.00 for each additional copy.

To request a certified copy of a marriage license all applicants must provide a valid Driver's license or valid State ID.  Applicants must be the individuals (Bride/Groom) or a parent of the individuals listed on the record.

Military Discharge

All applicants must complete this form and meet the eligibility requirements of Public Act 93-0468. (55 ILCS 5/3-5015 [From Ch. 34, par. 3-5015])

All applicants must provide a valid Driver's license or a valid State ID.

 

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THE DD 214

Genealogy Copies for Birth, Death and Marriage

Births must be at least 75 years old

Deaths must be at least 25 years old

Marriages must be at least 50 years old

Genealogy copies are $2.00 each and can be requested using the link above to download the form to obtain vital records.
