*GENEALOGY*
Dozens of people visit our office annually to search records dating back to 1815. For those who wish to search, Tuesdays and Thursdays are best. However, office hours are Monday Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are certain Statutory fees for photocopying.

*CHILD SUPPORT*Approximately $2 million in child support and maintenance is processed and disbursed annually by the Crawford County Circuit Clerk's Office. Payments received by this office are recorded and mailed the same day.Effective October of 1999, payments made pursuant to income withholding orders and those that are involved with the Illinois Department of Public Aid became processed by the new State Disbursement Unit (SDU) in Carol Stream, Illinois. This office, however, continues to maintain files and court orders and also continues to record payments processed by the SDU. Since its inception, there have been numerous problems with the state system. Customer service, for the most part, remains on the local level, and my staff and I are here to assist you to the extent that we are able under the law.
